My background as an acoustic engineer in the audio industry, specializing in loudspeaker design, instilled in me a deep understanding of sound and a rigorous approach to design. Every guitar is individually tuned using a proprietary analysis tool suite, honed by a lifetime of acoustic experience. R&D
At Iulius Guitars, the design process begins in the digital realm. Using 3D CAD modeling and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), I create a virtual prototype that accurately simulates the behavior of the actual instrument. This virtual model allows me to experiment with various design solutions and compare their performance characteristics without the constraints of physical prototyping. External Tuning Slots, allows to fine tune the guitar main resonance modes and minimize wolf tones on the fly, without removing the strings. It’s meant to compensate for temperature, humidity and strings pull shifts.
Hybrid Modal preamp
An external condenser microphone in the perfect spot to capture the nuances of the string play, blended with a 2 or 3 sensor system in a modal configuration, with antifeedback individual tuning. A perfect amplified sound, in any venue, in any conditions.
Overhang neck
The neck block is made of one single straight piece, mounted over the soundboard, without the traditional heel block. Perfect playability, easy access to the highest frets, simplicity of maintenance.
Spek chart
Individual specification document, allows to keep track of the evolution of the instrument and to perform the most suitable maintenance operations.
